Often is it necessary to draw quick sketches on a sheet of paper in the workshop. The problem is that these sheets "fly away" and when you need them again the are undiscoverable.
So I had the idea to fix a bigger block of paper on the wall to create sketches or make notes. It wasn´t really easy because there was no free wall in my workshop. So I decided to use the door instead.

I started with the planning of the holder.
As a base material I used a 12mm plywood in the dimension 1.200 x 600mm.
You can buy this plate in this dimension directly at the diy-market.
I didn´t want to turn screws in the door. So I used sheet steel angle instead to fix the plate on the door.
I had such angle at home.
Next step was to copy the dimension of the angle to the plywood plate.
After the drawing I started to mill the groove into the plate to put the sheet steel angle inside.
Therefore I used a cutter with a diameter d = 20mm.
The depth is the thickness of the angle (2mm).
For eliminating the rest of the cutting I used a chisel.
To fix the paper on the door it was necessary to build two angles for that.
After measuring the thickness of the door (42mm) I used the planer to create a block of wood to this dimension.
I fixed the wood together with the angle at the workbench and with a hammer I brought it to the needed form.
After I put some screws in the plate to fix the angles I have started to cut the edges with the router.
Finally I drilled two 3mm holes in the board and glued steel pins in.
